Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft on January 30, 2024, in the 2600 block of Farm Bureau Road, Manhattan, Kansas at approximately 5:50 PM. Officers listed Rock Hills Church as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole the church’s 2003 GMC Sierra. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Brandon Welty, 25, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 400 block of Leavenworth Street in Manhattan on January 30, 2024, at approximately 5:15 PM. Welty was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated robbery and probation violation. The original charge was for criminal damage to property. Welty was issued a total bond of $90,000 and was confined at the time of this report.

Joseph Bauer, 19, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 400 block of Leavenworth Street in Manhattan on January 30, 2024, at approximately 5:19 PM. Bauer was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated robbery, failure to appear, and probation violation. The original charge was for criminal damage to property. Bauer was issued a total bond of $82,000 and was confined at the time of this report.

Makia Harris, 34, of Manhattan was arrested at the junction of Highway 77 and Swede Creek Road in Manhattan on January 30, 2024, at approximately 6:15 PM. Harris was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. The original charge was for intimidation of a witness. Harris was issued a total bond of $15,000 and was not confined at the time of this report.
