    Manhattan High basketball splits homecoming games with Emporia

    Manhattan, KS – It was homecoming Tuesday night at the MHS Gym and both Manhattan high basketball teams were looking for revenge of losses to Emporia earlier in the year. The Manhattan girls nearly pulled off an upset over the #4 team in 5A, but would fall to Emporia 44-43. The Manhattan boys led from start to finish and would beat the Spartans 47-36.

    Manhattan girls are now 10-8 overall and 4-4 in Centennial League play. The MHS boys improve to 11-7 overall and 5-3 in league play. They both play at Washburn Rural Friday night. Pregame begins at approximately 5:45 PM on KMAN.
