Manhattan Area Technical College to host career fair

By Kolby Van Camp on March 22, 2024 Local News, Manhattan
Manhattan Area Technical College will be holding a number of events in the near future for current and potential students.
Of note is the Career Fair where a range of employers meet with students to create opportunities to network and potentially land jobs. MATC President, Jim Genandt shares that industries represented at the fair include carpenters, welders, and more.
“We’ll have a lot of employers from those industries and then it’s a good chance not just for our students, but for the public to come out, share your resume and what you’re looking for. It’s a good deal and right now it’s a workers’ market,” he said.
Genandt also highlighted the need for skilled medical professionals and that the college is actively invested in helping local medical institutions find excellent local candidates for employment.
The career fair will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday. The college will additionally host its Spring Open House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 25.
