    Officers filed a theft by deception report on March 27, 2024, at approximately 10:00 AM in the 800 block of Levee Drive.  Officers listed Purple Wave Auction as the victim when they reported a vehicle listed through their service was sold to a known individual who used a fraudulent credit card to secure the purchase. Total loss associated with the transaction was $2,910.

    Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property on March 27, 2024, at approximately 1:45 PM in the 1800 block of College Ave.  Officers listed Via Christi as the victim when it was reported a 32-year-old male patient to the Emergency Department damaged a hospital bed, chair, and window.  Total loss is estimated to be $5,100. Donovan Nash of Manhattan was arrested in conjunction with this report.  His total bond was set at $4,000 and he was confined at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report of an injury accident at the corner of S. 5th Street and Pierre Street in Manhattan on March 27, 2024, at approximately 7:01 PM.  When officers arrived on the scene they found a 2005 Toyota Sienna driven by Annalese Zawodny-Benlon, 47, of Shawnee, Kansas, had collided with a 2013 Ford F150 driven by Luke Farrell, 16, of Manhattan. Both Farrell and a passenger in Sienna were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Zawodny-Benlon was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

    Nicholas McHenry, 35, of Manhattan, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (unknown), use/possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the human body, and interference with an LEO on March 27, 2024, at approximately 11:29 AM. in the 400 block of Fort Riley BLVD. McHenry was confined at the time of this report with a total bond set of $7,500.

    Christine Hurley, 42, of Manhattan was arrested on March 27, 2024, at approximately 7:00 PM in the 1000 block of South Seth Child Road.  Hurley was arrested on a Riley County warrant for aggravated failure to appear.  The original charges in this matter were for possession of an opiate/opium/certain narcotic/stimulant and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was confined at the time of this report with a total bond set of $8,000.
