A Texas woman was arrested late Saturday on a warrant for distribution of a controlled substance causing death.
According to the Riley County Police Department, 21-year-old Dache Island-Jones is additionally charged with two other counts, including distributing an opiate use of a communication device in the commission of a felony. Bond was set at $500,000. She remains in custody.
The arrest stems from an ongoing investigation into the June 2023 Fentanyl overdose death of an unidentified Manhattan resident. Earlier this month, a co-defendant, 22-year-old Daron Island-Jones was also arrested on the same charges. He also remains in custody.
RCPD is encouraging others with pertinent information into these crimes to come forward.
