    Officers filed a report of domestic assault, criminal destruction of property, and deprivation of property on July 6, 2024, at approximately 1:50 AM in Manhattan.  Officers reported the victim was deprived of a 2013 Buick Enclave valued at approximately $5,000.  Due to the nature of this crime, no other information will be released at this time.

    Andrew Smith, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 5, 2024, in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road at approximately 4:17 PM. Smith was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. The original charge in this matter was for domestic battery. Total bond was set at $5,000. Smith was confined at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property in the 400 block of Knox Lane on July 6, 2024, at approximately 9:39 AM.  Officers listed the City of Manhattan as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect damaged the interior of a park restroom with fireworks. Total estimated loss in this matter is approximately $1,000. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report of theft on July 7, 2024, at approximately 9:37 AM in the 2300 block of Sky-Vue Lane. Officers listed a 38-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a lock was cut from a trailer and a Hack Attack pitching machine, valued at approximately $2,600, and a Honda portable generator, valued at approximately $1,100, were taken by an unknown subject.     Officers filed a report of an injury accident in the 3200 block of Windbreak Circle on July 7, 2024, at approximately 9:44 PM.  Officers reported a Dodge Caravan, driven by Adebayo Wasiu Adenigi, 63, of Manhattan, struck a Chevy Sonic driven by Jonathan Holmes Fateley, 58, also of Manhattan. Adenigi was transported by EMS to Via Christi for treatment of an apparent medical event that occurred while driving.

    Laquinta Brown, 34, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 7, 2024, at approximately 2:25 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Brown was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation.  The original charge in this matter was for harassment. Total bond was set at $10,000. Brown was confined at the time of this report.
