The Riley County Police Department announced Tuesday the promotion of Erin Freidline to Assistant Director, effective January 1, 2025. Freidline will succeed Assistant Director Kurt Moldrup.
Captain Freidline began her career with the Riley County Police Department in June 2000 as a Dispatcher, transitioning to a Patrol Officer in 2001.
Freidline was promoted to Sergeant in 2007, overseeing both patrol and detective units. In 2013, she advanced to the rank of Lieutenant, where she led the evening patrol shift and supervised detectives, Crime Scene Investigations (CSI), and the Evidence unit.
