The Riley County Police Department is investigating a scam involving a man posing as an RCPD lieutenant.

RCPD officers filed a report of fraud Tuesday at around 1 p.m. where a 38-year-old male victim reported he withdrew money from his bank and deposited it into a CoinStar machine in a scam that involved an unknown subject posing as a lieutenant from Riley County Police Department.
