A young woman from the Wichita area was rushed to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka after someone attacked her in Aggieville early Friday in Manhattan.
RCPD Public Information Officer Ashley Tokoi said police are aware of the social media messages about the attack that have been circulating, but she said it includes some misinformation.
Tokoi added that the department does not yet have solid information about what happened.
Police hope surveillance cameras will help them retrace the victim’s steps and expect to release more details on Tuesday afternoon.
