Police on Monday investigated a threat of violence at Wamego High School but determined it was unfounded, according to a Wamego Police Department post on social media.
Police learned of a group chat mentioning violence at the school before the day began Monday and stationed additional officers at district schools while others investigated. Police discovered that a non-threatening remark made Friday passed among several people and resulted in a perceived threat.
