A Randolph man was taken into custody and arrested on charges of attempted murder on Wednesday afternoon by Geary County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Deputies arrested Ryan Diedrich just after 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon after it was reported that Diedrich tried to drown another man at Milford Lake on Aug. 17 during a physical altercation at Nudie Beach.
It was reported Diedrich tried to hold Kurtis Geisler of Leonardville underwater with the goal of drowning him until he was pulled off by witnesses. Geisler suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Diedrich is charged with 2nd degree attempted murder and making a criminal threat and is currently held at the Geary County Detention Center on no bond, pending his first appearance in court.
