Pottawatomie county commissioners on Monday refused to help Wamego maintain its burn pile.
Last week, Wamego City Manager Stacie Eichem requested financial help from the county to keep the city burn pile operating “as is”.
Commissioner Greg Riat was absent due to illness at that meeting, so the issue was tabled until this
week when all county commissioners were present.
