Manhattan placed 17th as a team, notching two team points at Prairie Village’s Harmon Park Tennis Complex. The Indians did not have a top-12 finisher in singles or doubles.
Junior Keylee Schartz, who entered as the No. 16 seed in singles, notched one of Manhattan’s points with an opening match win.
Schartz downed Blue Valley High’s Ava Kosic with a 2-6, 7-5, (11-9) performance. The win advanced her into a matchup with No. 1 seed from Blue Valley North.
