The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) began Phase 2 of its bridge replacement project on K-99 in Wabaunsee County this week.
The structure, which is 2 miles south of Eskridge, will utilize the shoofly detour through the project area as construction continues on the bridge. Other surrounding work is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
KDOT will use signs, barricades, codes and temporary pavement markings to direct traffic through the area and the work zone will have a reduced speed limit of 35 miles per hour. The configuration is expected to be in place until around May 16, 2025.
