    Head-on collision reported at Leavenworth and N. Juliette

    Riley County Police responded to an injury accident on the morning of November 30, 2024, at the intersection of Leavenworth Street and N. Juliette Avenue.

    According to the report, a 2013 Toyota Tacoma driven by 21-year-old John Mayes collided head-on with a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan operated by 47-year-old Marco Galeano-Casco. Galeano-Casco sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Via Christi Hospital by EMS for treatment.

    Police cited Galeano-Casco for driving without a license and failing to provide proof of insurance.
