Leaders of a local youth football program have wanted to use Bishop Stadium for years, but the USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden school board hasn’t allowed it.

Buck Driggs, president of the Manhattan Youth Football Association, said the organization has held five games a year at K-State’s Bill Snyder Family Stadium. However, efforts to use the district’s stadium in CiCo Park have failed.

“Coming from a small town, it’s hard to fathom that a town the size of Manhattan has no place for us to play our local youth football games,” Driggs said.
