A Riley County District Court judge on Tuesday denied a Randolph man’s request to end his probation early.

Russell Peterson, 83, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in December 2023 for the 2021 death of Adam Samuelson. Peterson ran a stop sign and hit Samuelson’s vehicle with his.

Judge Grant Bannister sentenced Peterson to 36 months probation and 60 days in jail, which he completed earlier this year.
