Flu doctor office visits are on the rise in the state of Kansas according to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
For the first time in two years, the percentage of office visits for possible flu is the highest Kansas has seen. Symptoms that are lead to flu visits include body aches, fevers, runny nose, sore throat, cough and shortness of breath.
The KDHE says 7% of clinic visits are for these symptoms. That’s a sharp increase from last year, which was only at 3.5%.
