Angel Roeser said she plans to focus on taxes and education when she begins her term as one of the youngest state reps in the county.

Roeser, a Manhattan Republican, was elected to the 67th District seat in November. She replaced two-term representative and former Manhattan mayor Mike Dodson, who stepped down.

Roeser won a close race with Democratic challenger Kim Zito with 52% of the vote to Zito’s 48%, a margin of 529 votes.
