    Stolen boat and trailer reported in rural Belvue, Kansas

    The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a boat and trailer reported on Monday from the 22000 block of Highway 24, in rural Belvue, Kansas. Authorities are seeking public assistance in recovering the stolen property and identifying those responsible.

    According to the owner, the boat and trailer were left at a business in the area on October 29, 2024. The items were last seen on December 23, suggesting they were stolen sometime in the intervening period.

    Details of the Stolen Items

    • Boat: An 18-foot brown Lowe boat equipped with a Mercury outboard motor and a driving console.
    • Trailer: A red-and-black trailer showing significant rust in multiple areas.

    The total estimated loss for the stolen boat and trailer exceeds $2,000.

    Anyone with information about the theft is encouraged to contact Detective Kidd or Crime Stoppers at the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office.
