    …BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT…
    WHAT…Blizzard conditions. Snow accumulations mainly between 8 and 14 inches, sleet accumulations around one half of an inch, and a glaze of ice. Winds gusting as high as 40 to 45 mph.
    WHERE…Portions of central, east central, north central, and northeast Kansas.
    WHEN…Until midnight CST tonight.
    IMPACTS…Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibilities which may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be nearly impossible. Gusty winds could also bring down tree branches.

    Very cold temperatures settle in late in the weekend as the winter storm exits the region and into early next week with readings forecast to remain below freezing through Friday. The coldest wind chill values are expected to occur on Monday through Wednesday.
    This weekend’s winter storm is expected to begin impacting the region this morning and lasting into Sunday night. The peak intensity with the heaviest precipitation is anticipated to be during the early morning hours Sunday and into Sunday afternoon. The bars show a rough time line of the forecast precipitation type for selected cities across the area.
