School districts across the country have been impacted by a cybersecurity breach affecting the PowerSchool Student Information System.

PowerSchool is a software used to keep track student’s report cards, fill out school forms or put money in cafeteria accounts.

USD 320 Wamego was affected by the breach. Superintendent Rob McKim said that the district was currently trying to determine what information was taken.

USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden Schools does not use PowerSchool but does use Infinite Campus for their system information system, which has not been affected. However, PowerSchool is used by the human resources department for a few matters. However, it has not been affected according to USD 383 director of communications and school safety Michele Jones.

USD 384 Blue Valley Randolph and USD 475 Geary County Schools were not affected by the breach.
