The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a Wamego woman died following a car crash early Friday morning on Highway 24 near Belvue.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident has been identified as Mary Miller, 22, of Wamego.

Law enforcement say Miller was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion as she headed eastbound around 6:45 a.m. that morning when her vehicle skidded on the icy road and crossed the center lane striking a 2014 GMC Sierra head on that was going westbound.

The driver of the GMC was Kelly O’Neill of St. Mary’s. He suffered minor injuries and was treated by EMS.
