At Tuesday’s work session, Manhattan city commissioners will discuss a housing rehabilitation and repair assistance program.
Commissioners in October expressed interest in funding a housing rehabilitation program with the workforce housing sales tax, according to city government documents.
Stephanie Peterson, director of community development, on Tuesday will give information on a possible framework for such a program and seek feedback from commissioners and the public.
The proposal calls for $100,000 a year of the sales tax money to go toward the program. Eligible units would be owner occupied and within city limits. There also would be an income limit for eligibility.
