    By Emma Loura

Assistant superintendent Nathan Downs on Wednesday reported the district’s total enrollment as of Monday was 6,567 students.

“Since our Sept. 20 count, we’ve had 272 new enrollments, 219 exits, 51 transfers within the district,” Downs said. “And then we approved 39 mid-year graduates. Our overall increase is 17 students. However, if you factor in the mid-year graduates and so on and so forth, we’re continuing to thrive. Students are continuing to come into our area and be a great part of our school district.”

Elementary schools had 3,040 students, middle schools had 1,483 students, and Manhattan High School had 2,044 students.
