Riley County Police Department Director Brian Peete told the Riley County Law Board Monday that his officers answered 503 calls on March 8, down 30 from the previous year.
“The five-year average for calls for service is 435.6. We were up a little bit, but we’ve decreased 5.6 percent in calls for service,” he said.
Peete said the majority of issues officers encountered were not from Manhattan residents or K-State students.
