Manhattan animal control officers said Tuesday they have made contact with a man who was driving around town with a dead possum tied to his car.
In a written statement posted to social media Friday, animal control said someone had reported a driver dragging what appeared to be a dead possum tied to a rope, and they were investigating.
“If we find that someone intentionally harmed the animal or acted inappropriately, we will absolutely take action.”
