Manhattan High baseball took care of business and more over the weekend, dominating all-around en route to becoming the 2025 Hays High Western Plains Diamond Classic Champions.

The Indians went 4-0 across games on Friday and Saturday, catapulting themselves into second place in 6A West’s regional standings with a 16-4 overall record. Manhattan only trails 21-2 Lawrence Free State.

Manhattan jumped-started the weekend with a 12-5 win over Hays during Friday’s opener, led by Asher Newton’s five RBI and two runs scored. The freshman went 2-for-3 with a three-run blast and a walk.
