The Riley County Police Department reported six arrests, several traffic-related incidents, and a number of public disturbances across Manhattan in the past 24 hours.
Among those arrested was 19-year-old Connor Kenneth Baer of Manhattan, who was taken into custody at Dirty Dawgs Saloon on charges of criminal damage to property valued between $1,000 and $25,000 and consumption of liquor by a minor. Jonah Michael White, 18, of Wamego, and Cyren Victoria Hearron, 18, of Manhattan, were arrested in separate DUI incidents, both suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Police also arrested 34-year-old Bardarius Nakia Jiles of Fort Riley for disorderly conduct and interference with law enforcement at the Bluemont Scenic Overlook. In another case, Kasiem Tyrone Walker, 33, of Junction City was arrested for violating a protection order at Shop Quik on Scenic Landing. Damond Tirial Russell, 24, of Manhattan, was picked up on a warrant for failure to appear.
Incident reports included an injury accident at 1834 Claflin Road and several non-injury crashes throughout the day, with scenes ranging from Allison Avenue to Tuttle Creek Boulevard. Officers also responded to a stolen vehicle report in the 2300 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard, a fight at Dirty Dawgs Saloon, and a verbal argument near the Bluemont Scenic Overlook sign.
