Michael Ayon Sr., 67, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 10:56 p.m. on March 3, 2026 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This arrest stems from original charges of possession of methamphetamine. Ayon Sr. was issued a total bond of $6,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
Officers filed a report of fraud at approximately 7:05 p.m. on March 3 in the 400 block of E. Poyntz Avenue. Goodwill was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect scammed an employee into using store funds to pay for a fraudulent business debt. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,191.80.
Lasheen Washington, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 4:04 p.m. on March 3 in the 200 block of Brooklawn Drive on a Riley County District Court warrant for violating the Kansas Registration Offender Act. Washington was issued a total bond of $6,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
Javontae Darby, 33, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 3:49 p.m. on March 3 in the 100 block of N. 4th Street on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of unlawful possession of a tool to remove theft detection device. Darby was issued a total bond of $8,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Derrick Barbour Jr., 23, of Junction City, was arrested at approximately 11:41 a.m. on March 3 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear, which stems from an original charge of theft. Barbour Jr. was also arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated assault, aggravated domestic battery, criminal threat and domestic battery. This arrest stems from a report originally filed in December 2025. Barbour Jr. was issued a total bond of $15,500 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Alan Terry, 59, of Wichita, was arrested at approximately 6:17 a.m. on March 3 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Pottawatomie County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Terry was issued no bond and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
