    Two charged with distribution deaths to be tried together

    Two men facing charges including distribution of a controlled substance causing death appeared via Zoom Wednesday in Riley County District Court to have their cases joined and tried together.

    Derrick Duncan, 22, of Manhattan is charged with distribution of a controlled substance causing death, distribution of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school property, two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of distribution of a controlled substance causing great bodily harm, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful use of a communication facility in relation to controlled substances and possession of marijuana.

    Caziah Self, 23, of Ellsworth is charged with distribution of a controlled substance causing death, distribution of a controlled substance causing great bodily harm, aggravated battery, two counts of distribution of fentanyl and use of a communication device while committing a drug felony.
