By KMAN Staff on May 19, 2025 Local News

Multiple rounds of storms are expected across the area Monday, beginning in the early  afternoon in eastern Kansas. Forecasters say additional storm development is likely further west later in the day, with those storms tracking east into the evening hours and early Tuesday morning.

The main threats include large hail, damaging winds, and the possibility of a few tornadoes. Storms may persist into the overnight period, increasing the risk of overnight severe weather.

Residents are urged to remain weather aware throughout the day and evening and be prepared to take immediate action if warnings are issued for their location.
