The Pottawatomie County Commission did not show a lot of interest Monday in restricting fireworks sales, usage.
County Counselor Bernard Irvin, in his weekly update, informed the commission of the new state law concerning the sale of fireworks.
“The Kansas legislature passed a new law that amends fireworks sales,” he said. He explained certain retailers would be allowed to sell year around, while seasonal sales have been extended to June 20 to July 7. Previously, sales were allowed June 27 through July 5.
