The Manhattan Walmart reopened at 12:30 p.m. Monday, after closing Friday when someone reportedly started a fire in the store.
An employee said in a phone interview Monday morning that the store had passed the required inspection and was preparing to open again after being closed for the entirety of Father’s Day weekend.
The employee said all other information would come from Walmart’s corporate media relations team. That team did not respond to requests for comment.
