Manhattan High School athletics received a technical upgrade with the installation of a video board and a new sound system at Bishop Stadium.
The upgrades came about when Mitch Watson and Shawn Becket, both parents of Manhattan High students, noticed poor sound quality when they attended football matches and deciding to do something about it.
“It started out several years ago, attending Friday night football games and noticing the sound quality was really poor,” Watson said. “The dance team would have to roll out speakers at halftime when they wanted to perform and it was somewhat embarrassing that we didn’t have a better sound system than that.”
