Manhattan’s Furniture Amnesty Day is set to proceed as planned, after a postponement of the initial July 25 date. The event will take place Friday, August first in City Park.

The event was postponed last Friday due to anticipated flooding in the area.

Furniture Amnesty Day is a free community event that gives people the opportunity to donate or pick up used furniture at no cost. Anyone can participate. There are no income requirements or forms to fill out to choose from the donated items.
