David Nelson, 40, of Lawrence, KS was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for two counts of forgery, two counts of making false information, two counts of computer unlawful acts, theft, and attempted theft on July 15, 2025, at approximately 4:55 p.m. The warrant stems from two incident which were reported in April 2025. Nelson was issued a total bond of $30,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for aggravated battery, battery, domestic battery, criminal trespass and violation of a protection order in Manhattan on July 15, 2025, at approximately 9:49 p.m. A 33-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were listed as the victims and a 45-year-old man was listed as the suspect. James Williams, 45, of Manhattan was arrested for domestic battery, criminal trespass and violation of a protection order. Williams was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
