    Wamego’s DeRouchey delivers big hits, bigger impact at safety

    WAMEGO — He doesn’t wrestle, but incoming Wamego High senior Jacob DeRouchey can body slam with the best of them.

    The Red Raider standout’s first game as a safety in fall 2024 couldn’t have started any better. DeRouchey, who played mainly on offense the first two seasons, got introduced quickly how to make tackles in the season opener at Concordia.
