A concrete pump truck fell and struck several parked cars Wednesday morning on the K-State campus.
University officials say it happened around 11 a.m. in the B1 parking lot near Weber Hall, where construction continues on the new Global Center for Grain and Food Innovation. Officials didn’t say whether the crane was related to the project.
The incident resulted in a brief closure of Claflin Road between Mid-Campus Drive and North Manhattan Avenue.
In a statement, university spokesperson Michelle Geering said “the crane hit parked vehicles in the south end of the parking lot. Emergency responders arrived quickly and no injuries were reported.”
The B1 parking lot remains closed from Claflin Road to the Recycling Center.
The statement said the accident is under investigation.
