K-State has sold 5.17 acres of land, including the Unger Complex building, to the KSU Foundation. At a special meeting on July 30, the Kansas Board of Regents approved this purchase.

The 5.17 acres and building cost $2,669,221.

The KSU Foundation intends to sell the property to a developer, to convert the building into apartments. In April, the Manhattan Urban Area Planning Board rezoned the Unger Complex from a business commercial property to a residential one. The City of Manhattan approved this rezoning in May.
