    Pedestrian treated after being struck by SUV

    A pedestrian sustained minor injuries after being struck by a motorist in west Manhattan Wednesday evening.

    According to the Riley County Police Department, a Ford Explorer driven by 19-year-old Vonda Vandwehr, of Manhattan, struck 19-year-old Dimya Brown, also of Manhattan. The incident occurred near Westloop Place and Claflin Road.

    Brown was treated at the scene by Riley County EMS for minor injuries.

    Vandwehr was cited for inattentive driving and no proof of insurance.
