    Petersen convicted of 51 counts of sex crimes against former patients

    Former Manhattan chiropractor Clark Petersen was convicted Thursday evening of 51 counts of sex crimes against 16 clients, after a jury deliberated for a day and a half in Riley County District Court.

    The jury found Peterson guilty of four counts of rape, 40 counts of aggravated battery, four counts of sexual battery, one count of lewd and lascivious behavior, one count of attempted rape and one count of attempted aggravated criminal sodomy. The victims, all women, said he sexually assaulted them during appointments.

    The jury found Petersen not guilty of the remaining charges, which were two counts aggravated sexual battery and seven counts of sexual battery.
