    Logan Mize reflects on Rock the Plains after performing Saturday evening. Mize, a Kansas native who also performed at Stampede before its relocation from Manhattan, said Tuttle Creek is a very “nostalgic” place.

    Kaitlin Butts performs Friday evening during Rock the Plains at Tuttle Creek State Park in Manhattan. The music and camping festival made its debut Friday and Saturday, featuring a lineup of country, red dirt and Americana artists. It was inspired by Country Stampede, which started in Manhattan in 1996 and was held annually in the park until 2018.
