    Christopher Troy, 37, of Leonardville was arrested on August 8, 2025, at approximately 3:35 p.m. on a Dickinson County District Court warrant for probation violation. Troy was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers responded to a report of an injury crash near the intersection of 8th St and Bluemont Ave in Manhattan on August 8, 2025, at approximately 11:23 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 2011 Nissan Rogue, driven by Avery Colson, 30, of Wamego had struck a 2026 Kia Spectra, driven by Tara Block, 34, of St. George, and a 2018 Chevy Equinox, driven by Loyce Striggow, 43, of Wakefield. Colson and Block were transported by Riley County EMS to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Colson was issued a citation for inattentive driving.

    Officers filed a report for aggravated assault in the 1200 block of N. 12th St in Manhattan on August 9, 2025, at approximately 2:36 a.m. Officers listed two 18-year-old men as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect threatened them with a firearm. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    George McGrew, 26, of Manhattan was arrested on August 9, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m. for a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. McGrew was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    John Falley Wallace, 22, of Lawrence, KS, was arrested on August 10, 2025, at approximately 11:07 p.m. for a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. Falley Wallace was issued no bond and is still confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report for criminal discharge of a firearm and interference with law enforcement in the 2200 block of College Ave in Manhattan on August 10, 2025, at approximately 2:43 a.m. Officers listed a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man as the suspects when it was reported shots were fired in the area. This is an ongoing investigation and additional information will not be released at this time.
