    Officers filed a report of reckless driving occurring in the 1600 block of Houston Street in Manhattan on August 21, 2025, when it was reported a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old man crashed into multiple parked vehicles and then fled the area. Jackson Tanner, 22, of Manhattan was arrested in the 1900 block of Denison Avenue at approximately 10:17 p.m., for driving under the influence, reckless driving, failure to stop at an accident, failure to report an accident with an unattended vehicle and trespass on property with critical infrastructure. Tanner was issued a total bond of $3,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report of theft in the 500 block of Manhattan Avenue on August 21, 2025, at approximately 3:03 p.m. A 54-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported a known 32-year-old female suspect stole his wallet. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $3,500.
