Officers filed a report for aggravated robbery, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of Osage Street in Manhattan, on August 26, 2025, approximately 8:45 p.m. A 24-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were listed as the victims when it was reported that a 19-year-old suspect hit a victim and stole a vape pen. Jakyieh Burney, 19, of Manhattan, was arrested on August 27, 2025 at approximately 8:13 p.m., for aggravated robbery, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Burney was issued a total bond of $50,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Nathan Bell, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested on August 27, 2025, at approximately 2:24 p.m., in the 2200 block of Blaker Drive in Manhattan on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from an original charge of interference with a law enforcement officer. Bell was issued a total bond of $8,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
Alejandro Garcia, 26, of Topeka, was arrested on August 27, 2025, at approximately 1:51 p.m., in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road in Manhattan on a DeSoto Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. Garcia was issued a $350 bond. Garcia was then arrested at 3:02 p.m., on a Jackson County District Court warrant for failure to appear and issued no bond. Garcia remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Chase Meinholdt, 19, of Manhattan, was arrested on August 27, 2025, at approximately 1:27 p.m., in the 1300 block of Vattier in Manhattan for attempted murder in the first degree, aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, burglary, distribution of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia. These charges stem from a report filed in July 2025. Meinholdt was issued a total bond of $305,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Ivan Krdzic, 36, of Santa Rosa, Calif., was arrested on August 27, 2025, at approximately 9:05 a.m., in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road in Manhattan on a Riley County District Court warrant for two counts of aggravated kidnapping and criminal threat. This warrant stems from two reports filed in June 2025. Krdzic issued a total bond of $200,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
