    Mykal Crawley, 33, of Lawrence, was arrested on August 4, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. Crawley was issued a total bond of $7,500 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of N. 6th Street and Laramie on August 4, 2025, at approximately 3:11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found an electric scooter riden by Ashley Crow, 36, of Manhattan, was struck by truck. The vehicle fled the area. Crow was transported by Riley County EMS to Via Chrisi Hospital for minor injuries. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for criminal use of a weapon and interference with law enforcement in the 300 block of N. 5th Street in Manhattan, on August 4, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m. A 31-year-old man was listed as the suspect when it was reported he was in possession of a weapon and interfered with law enforcement. Jesse Brewer, 31, of Manhattan, was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon, interference with law enforcement and on three Riley County District Court warrants for three counts of violation of a court order. Brewer was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Brian Vestal, 52, of Ogden, was arrested on August 4, 2025, at approximately 11:04 p.m. on a Virginia Parole Board warrant. Vestal was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
