A construction-related flood forced Auntie Mae’s to close briefly over Labor Day weekend.

The Aggieville bar was filled with customers following K-State’s first home football game around midnight on Aug. 31. Owner Jeff Denney said Monday someone noticed water was seeping into the building from a nearby pit that had filled with rain.

“All of a sudden water was shooting in and it filled up our store room and our bathrooms had a couple of inches of water standing in it,” he said.
