    MHS girls’ golf ties for title at Firebird Invitational

    Manhattan High girls golf tied for the championship Monday at the Firebird Invitational, finishing in line with Shawnee Mission East at 316 on the par-70 layout at Lawrence Country Club.

    Junior Maddie Myers led the way by claiming medalist honors with a 3-over-par 73, edging Shawnee Mission East’s Ella Slicker by one stroke. Myers’ round gave Manhattan its second individual title of the fall, both from her, and set the tone for another strong team performance.
