    MANHATTAN, KAN. — Richard Branch Jr, 37, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 18, 2025 at approximately 3:12 p.m. at the 300 block of 5Th street in Manhattan on a Geary County District Court warrant for probation violation. Branch was issued a total bond of $20,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 6800 block of Stockdale Park Road on Sept. 17, at approximately 6:19 p.m. A 56-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a 12,000-pound winch. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,000. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
